Eversley Cricket Club are delighted to announce a spectacular event with a legend of English Cricket, Sir Andrew Strauss. Sir Andrew not only played and captained England, but lead his England side to number 1 in the test rankings and was appointed as the ECB's director of cricket in early 2015, proving a key figure in England's transformation into a world-cup-winning one-day side.
At Eversley CC, we are on a fundraising mission to build a brand new state-of-the-art Net system for our rapidly growing cricket club. We are aiming to raise £80,000 to be able to build the impressive new nets.
This event will also be supporting The Ruth Strauss Foundation, a charity doing extraordinary work in providing emotional support for families to prepare for the death of a parent and raising awareness of the need for more research & collaboration in the fight against non-smoking lung cancers.
The event will consist of Sir Andrew talking about his youth and pathway into cricket, representing England and his post-playing career. There will also be a Q&A to finish. A raffle and silent auction will be held.
Please support this rare and unique opportunity to have an evening with a former international and England captain.
